Juan
Luis Zegarra Queirolo (Lima 1977)
Artista
medioambiental y docente que siempre anda buscando el mayor
contacto posible con la naturaleza, dentro y (sobretodo) fuera de
la ciudad.
Egresó
de la Escuela Nacional Superior Autónoma de Bella Artes del Perú
y desde los últimos años ahí investiga el paisaje marino, los
animales que lo habitan, los diferentes hábitats que contiene y
las relaciones que se generan entre el espacio y especies para
luego reinterpretar esa información a través de técnicas como
el LAND ART, la fotografía, la pintura y el dibujo, realizando un
nexo entre arte y conservacionismo.
Ha
participado en exposiciones colectivas e individuales en Perú y
Argentina y Estados Unidos. Ha participado de residencias
artísticas organizadas por el Centro Rural de Arte de Argentina,
la última de éstas en el norte de la patagonia donde realizó
intervenciones que giran en torno a algunos procesos evolutivos de
la naturaleza y la influencia de los mismos en el desarrollo de
las especies y personas que habitan ese lugar.
Actualmente
ejerce la docencia inculcando el interés y respeto por la
naturaleza y el arte en el Colegio Italiano Antonio Raimondi.
También desarrolla propuestas de arte medioambientalista con
empresas sociales y ONG´s, atravesando temas como la
sobrexplotación de los mares, hecho que sucede con la anchoveta
en el Perú; La tala de los bosques en Madre de Dios y el problema
de residuos plásticos en la costa limeña.

Luis Zegarra Queirolo (Lima 1977)
Environmental
artist and teacher who is always looking for the greatest possible
contact with nature, in and (mostly ) out of town .
He
graduated from the Higher National School of Fine Arts of Peru and
from recent years there he investigates the seascape, the animals
that inhabit different habitats containing and relationships
generated between space and species and then reinterpret that
information through techniques such as LAND ART , photography,
painting and drawing , making a link between art and
conservationism .
He
has participated in solo and group exhibitions in Peru and
Argentina and the United States. She has participated in artist
residency organized by the Rural Art Center Argentina, the last of
which in northern Patagonia where he made interventions that
revolve around some evolutionary processes of nature and the
influence thereof on the development of species and people living
there.
Currently
he teaches, instilling interest and respect for nature and art at
the Scuola Italiana Antonio Raimondi. It also develops proposals
environmentalist art with social enterprises and NGOs, through
issues such as overexploitation of the seas, a fact that is true
of the “anchoveta” (engraulis
ringens)
in Peru felling of forests in Madre de Dios and the problem of
plastic waste in the coast of Lima.
